Snow

Yes, for the first time since moving here five years ago, we received a glorious snowfall over Ellesmere yesterday.

Cliona was in the garden when I heard her shout out to me excitedly, "Tony! It's snowing!"

For a chap born in Queensland, the joy of snow knows no bounds. It was bliss!

I had experienced snow near Canberra and also atop Mt Wellington behind Hobart, but not in France.

A recent trip to Stockholm saw us emerge from the airport into a snow-filled wonderland.

But here we are in the Lot et Garonne!

After enjoying the cold outside, it is back to the warmth of the fire inside ... and a glass of Port!

I hope we don't have to wait another five years for this magic to return.

  2. Bonjour Tony,
I just learned something that you may or may not be aware of, but is important. Forewarned is forearmed! Here it is:

This déclaration must be filed by every home owner, whether French or not. You might have some friends to help you with it if necessary.
Disregard this if you have done it already. Best.
