Yes, for the first time since moving here five years ago, we received a glorious snowfall over Ellesmere yesterday.
Cliona was in the garden when I heard her shout out to me excitedly, "Tony! It's snowing!"
For a chap born in Queensland, the joy of snow knows no bounds. It was bliss!
I had experienced snow near Canberra and also atop Mt Wellington behind Hobart, but not in France.
A recent trip to Stockholm saw us emerge from the airport into a snow-filled wonderland.
But here we are in the Lot et Garonne!
After enjoying the cold outside, it is back to the warmth of the fire inside ... and a glass of Port!
I hope we don't have to wait another five years for this magic to return.
It seems to have been all over the southwest as we had some too . Isn't it lovely.
