Le Jardin de Boissonna Part 2

The garden, like a house, has many rooms.

And in these rooms, there are layers ... rising from tiny ground cover flowers to majestic climbing roses, up-thrusting their canes over high trellises.

Perfume fills the air, as does birdsong ... whistling, chirping and chortling.

At one point, there is a great cascading parasol of pink blossoms, suspended like the frozen fallout of a flower bomb.

an excerpt from Le Petit Prince

In the tearoom, there are rose teas, scones and jam and delicious flavours of sorbet and ice-cream.

  1. We will have to visit the gardens once the sunshine returns, and maybe also the chocolatier, Maison Guinguet, in the next street.

    1. Yes Kerrie, it's a date. We move from here down to a little gite this side of Miramont on Tuesday morning. It is only a short drive from Duras. You can show us where the chocolate shop is!

    2. I had never heard about the Jardin de Boissonna and thank you for posting this. It seems to be really interesting and beautiful.

I love the color of that yellow/orange rose just above the wild pelargonium in part 2 and the yellow iris in part 1.
