The name Christmas cactus is a northern hemisphere misnomer. It should be called winter cactus, since in its native land, Brazil, it doesn’t blooms at Christmas time but in July, which is in the heart of winter there, if I’m not mistaken.
In Sydney, we had a zygo cactus on the table by our pool and it always flowered only in winter. Yours Tony, is certainly out of time.
